The Forensic and Valuation Services (FVS) Section provides its members resources, tools and information and supports CPAs who hold the Accredited in Business Valuation (ABV) and/or Certified in Financial Forensics (CFF) Credentials. Members stay up-to-date on cutting-edge technical topics via resources such as web seminars, comprehensive practice aids and networking opportunities with thought leaders in the field.
The IMTA Section supports CPAs who leverage technology to manage financial information and ensure data reliability and relevance; section resources help members and their clients, organizations and/or practices achieve profitability. The Certified Information Technology Professional (CITP) Credential is for CPAs who use technology to provide information management expertise and/or assist financial auditors in assessing financial data.
CPA financial planners use their technical skills, objectivity and integrity to help clients plan their financial futures. CPAs join the PFP Section to access resources to improve their competence and deliver profitable PFP services. The Personal Financial Specialist (PFS) Credential helps CPAs distinguish themselves and promote their personal financial planning expertise and experience.
The Tax Section is the CPA profession’s premier tax organization, comprising 25,000 tax practitioners who network and exchange best practices. Members receive tools and information created by practitioners for practitioners, including The Tax Adviser, e-alerts, complimentary access to the AICPAs Tax Practice Guides and Checklists, plus discounts on select AICPA tax conferences and publications.
